Black and White Large Beaded Dots

These are one pair of two that I am working on as part of a commission. I was asked to make short ear wires as the recipient finds long ear wires easier to lose.

It may be hard to believe but it's very hard to find shards that are big enough to split into two for earrings. Most of the pieces I find are very tiny, and finding two of the same pattern is very rare, although it does sometimes happen. (I guess I just find different bits of the same broken vessel on different visits to the Thames...)

Anyway - this pair used one that was just big enough, and although the pattern is different you can still see they come from the same piece. I like how they turned out!
