Engraved Guns from the Wallace Collection

One of my favourite museums in London - The Wallace Collection. I had a chance to visit it today, and to my utter delight - one is now allowed to take photos in there, as long as you don't use flash.

I have spent many hours looking at these guns (16th-17th century) in the past, trying to memorise the wonderful engravings (ivory  and mother of pearl inlay mostly which is then engraved). I love the details, the creatures, the humour, the fact that the engravings are so tiny but someone has still gone to the trouble of making them beautiful.

So here are 22 pictures because memorising them never worked for me :-)
