Daniella's Necklace

This was my second piece in metal clay (silver) - a necklace I made for my sister Daniella. It's nice to have a recipient in mind, because by trying to make something to her taste, I tried new techniques and even splashed out on some garnets as her favourite colour is red.
It's fired with a blowtorch, and then polished and oxidized with liver of sulpher (smelly stuff).
Scanned in - not enough daylight these days for proper photos - but you get the idea...
I was told it looks medieval- I'm pleased by that of course but I didn't intend that this time! It must be the garnets!
