Magnolia Pods
Yesterday on my long walk home from the train station - I picked up these pods. I think they are from a Magnolia tree, but I'm not sure. I thought the shapes were really interesting - the dried ones resemble spotted gherkins.
I did try to make the dried ones into earrings, but they didn't work - they are just a bit too small and looked a bit too odd, even for me... Pretty though!

Ohh these would work being casted ~ (Not that I have ever done it but would like to!!)
ReplyDeleteEasier is to make a mould and then use Art Clay Silver. They would look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great ideas! I have collected some more, and I will do something with them! When I do - it will be on the blog! I can see them in silver, lightly oxidized, as a necklace... Lovely :-)
