I know, there are floods all over the place, but today actually felt like spring. Also - the daffodils in my garden have buds, there are flowering crocuses on the front lawn, and I even spotted a solitary grape hyacinth (Muscari) in bloom!
A walk in the 'countryside' was in order, so here are the pictures, taken around Essendon, Hertfordshire.
I got up to my knees in mud, but it was worth it!

I thought this was a reservoir, but it was actually a large puddle.
All the birds took off just as I got near... They are still just about visible... |

The path was way too muddy to walk on, but the edge of the field was OK |

The river was swollen and fast flowing |

This was part of someone's garden... |
Hi Tania,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous country side pictures they remind me of the scenery from Pride and Prejudice. Enjoy the beautiful weather you are having.
