Another Thames Trip

Encouraged by my kiln glass experiment, I decided to go and find some more glass and pottery shards. I had the beach to myself for a whole hour before families with excited kids and their collection pots descended on *my* patch :-)
One does get a bit territorial when mudlarking.

I found some nice pieces, my favourites pictured below. I also have another batch of Thames glass cabochons in the kiln, and can't wait to see what they will come out like.

I thought this was a secret vial, until a nice man
with a metal detector explained that it was an old fuse...

I have no idea what this is - it appears man made. This is one side

And this is the other side. It seems to be made of glass, or perhaps bone?

I love marbled clay. This small lump was just waiting for me to find it...

I found lots of bird parts.... shame there were no whole ones

A building, some acorns, my very first find with gold lustre,
a grand peacock feather and at the bottom, my favourite pattern

Some fine patterns, my favourite is the flower at the bottom

two pieces with writing (very rare!) and some 'seaweed pattern'
and a piece with a quatrefoil style pattern
